Public Enemies is an action packed thriller film of 2009, starring Johnny Depp, Johnny Depp plays Dillinger, Marion Cotillard plays Dillinger's girlfriend Billie Frechette, Channing Tatum plays Floyd and Giovanni Ribisi plays Alvin Karpis.  Movie trailer focuses on the true story of FBI agent Melvin Purvis's attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, and Pretty Boy Floyd.

Movie trailer opens with Dillinger and his partner Hamilton comes for a criminal trial under the guise of a prisoner drop to actually rescue some of his gang members. A shootout ensues as the gang makes a run for the getaway car and the gang takes refuge in a country house before leaving for Chicago to rob banks. Elsewhere Melvin Purvis and other FBI agents are on for the manhunt to arrest Dillinger and his gang, while Dillinger and his gang enjoys the loot of robberies with wine and women, Dillinger was offered to a kidnapped plot to which he refuses, stating that public hates kidnapping. At a party he meets Billie and both were looked upon by others, one for the fear of Dillinger and other  of Billie’s Indian heritage Billie leaves him at the restaurant however when John begins talking to associates of Frank Nitti, Al Capone's right hand man and confidant. Dillinger states that Billie is the right girl and would do anything for him, as film trailer shows an act of chivalry when Dillinger rescues Billie from a drunkard at a party, and Billie starts having a soft corner for Dillinger. With this act, and impressed by his respect and straight-forwardness with her, Billie leaves with him.

Movie trailer shows Purvis gets a hint of the motel where Dillinger is staying as a husband and wife, after many unsuccessful attempt to nab him(Dillinger)he order professional lawmen who know how to catch criminals dead or alive. While he and Billie are enjoying the luxuries across the States, the police finally find Dillinger and arrest him and his gang in Miami. In prison, Melvin Purvis comes to meet Dillinger. Dillinger goes on to tell Purvis how killing is different up close in personal as opposed to the way he killed Pretty Boy Floyd. Purvis tells Dillinger that he will more than likely be executed, and won't be a problem much longer. Film trailer shows a lengthy car chase, violent shootouts in which Dillinger overpowers Purvis and his gang, Dillinger and his gang escapes and manages to locate Billie away from her home without the agents knowing until later. They spend a long night together where Dillinger tells her about his last and final plan of robbery that would good for both them for the rest of their lives. However, when Dillinger drops her off at a hotel he thinks will be a safe place for her to hide, she is re-captured by the FBI in front of him, leaving him torn and helpless to save her. In jail she is beaten and tortured mercilessly and anyhow manages to write a letter to Dillinger not to come to her rescue but to be underground.

The last portion of the bio in Sweden means film shows Dillinger is shot dead, Billie weeps and lived out of the rest of her life in Wisconsin following her release, where most of the Public Enemies were caught or killed later on. In short not to be missed film for action buffs.
