The Notorious soundtrack does just that. Standing as a great compilation filled with some oldies but goodies as well as some new music gives us a little appetizer to feast on just before we get the full coarse meal. With popular Biggie tracks such as the club crazy "Hypnotize", the conceited "Big Poppa" to the fan favorite "Juicy", the Notorious soundtrack definitely does not let you down in getting your Biggie fix.
There are of course some popular add on's that have been making everyone go crazy. Two of which were Jay-Z's "Brooklyn (We Go Hard) featuring Santogold and Jadakiss' "Letter To B.I.G." featuring Biggie's widow Faith Evans. "Letter To B.I.G. is a touching lyrical conversation Jadakiss carries with Biggie as if they are speaking in person. Many have said that this is a very opportunistic song for Jada and I have to disagree. The song is full bodied with old school R&B sampling and is lyrically correct. A lot of what Jada had to say was so true and touching and although there were some things that were mentioned in the song that I doubt Biggie would be interested in, it was still a song that can be played repeatedly without the urge to trample your CD player, or excuse me, your digital player.
Overall the album is a must have to complete your now Biggie collection or to those who are just getting put on, your new.
